Sustainability Journey

Slow fashion, low waste, and carbon neutral our sustainable and fair wage standards ensure a guilt-free purchase.

We vow to donate to credited foundations in support for those closest to our hearts and currently deserve all our support. Certain jewellery creations will be labelled as “Profit Free” and this means the full amount will be donated to a special country with a rich ancient history that we believe should be maintained and respected.

  • Elissar takes pride in being a slow artisanal jeweller who takes the time and care to diligently handcraft your gems. We can proudly say our control in the manufacturing of our jewellery is maintained allowing us to support the local economy and aid in paying our artisans fairly. All of our jewellery is handcrafted by talented artisans throughout India whose families have created jewellery for over four generations. The 4-9 week wait time for made-to-order items ensures we do not produce more than we need. We use these weeks to source, produce, and ship your bespoke jewellery carefully.

  • We aim to ship as many of our orders together as possible to try and minimize the harm to the environment and the orders we do place are offset with carbon credits to attempt to have a carbon-neutral brand. Every year we purchase Terra Passes for every mile we ship to restore our karmic balance.

  • The jewellery is packaged in reusable pouches. They are too cute not to reuse and are designed to keep your jewellery safe! The soft fabric allows your solid gold jewellery to breathe when not worn, keeping it safe and maintaining its glimmer.

  • The shipping envelopes are Mail Lite which is made from FSC paper which is paper from responsible resources. It is designed for recycling. This way every part of your delivery can be reused or recycled. Please follow package instructions to recycle.

  • I am proud to say I give the option to source our round-cut diamonds from sources registered under the responsible jewellery council which means they can be 100% natural and ethical. What makes these stones more ethical? There were no wars fought for these mines and the countries the diamonds are sourced from are having strict rules to protect wildlife and the surrounding environment. Diamonds from these countries are the best natural choice for Jaadoo Gem’s sustainability mission.

  • Our Gold is sourced directly from reputable and regulated government sources that follow and improve their ecological policies for a cleaner future. These sources mine responsibly in Ghana and have reputations for giving back to the local communities.
